Introduction In the verses we were studying last Sunday morning, Paul writes about the wrath of God which is being revealed right now in the present against all the godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the truth about God by their wickedness. So, every living person knows the truth about God. Every living person … Continue reading Romans 02(01–16)

Introduction The last time we were studying Paul’s letter to the Romans, we spent our time on verses 8 to 17 of Romans 1, where Paul wrote about his longing to see the Roman believers in person. He’d never met them before and he wanted so much to meet them. And not only did he … Continue reading Romans 01(18–32)

Common grace, general revelation, suppression and exchange (Romans)
Introduction I thought that for this evening I would do a one-off sermon on these verses from Romans 1. Romans 16(01–20)
Introduction We're very close to the end of Romans. My plan is to cover verses 1 to 20 of chapter 16 today; and then to deal with verses 21 to 27 tomorrow. Verses 1+2 Having written about his travel plans at the end of chapter 15, Paul spends most of chapter 16 on greeting various … Continue reading Romans 16(01–20)
Romans 15(14–33)
Introduction So, we're getting near the end of Paul's letter to the Romans. And the passage we … Continue reading Romans 15(14–33)

Introduction In Romans chapters 12 to 16 Paul explains to us how we ought to live in light of the gospel of the grace of God to sinners like us. And really, he's explaining to us how to live the heavenly life. You see, back at the beginning of chapter 12, he instructed us to … Continue reading Romans 15(01–13)

Summary From verse 1 of chapter 14 until verse 13 of chapter 15 Paul is dealing with the subject of how the weak and the strong in the church ought to treat one another when it comes to disputable matters. Do you remember? He referred to three points of contention in the church in Rome: … Continue reading Romans 14(13–23)
